Denver Day!

Thursday, March 19, 2009
Woo! The weather has been great the last few days and I'm finally getting some of the ultra important field work done. I even planted the golden beets yesterday. *mmmm*

I'm hoping to get a lot more done in the next few days, though today is a rare and super-special day off for me. Well, kinda. :)

I'm heading to the farm in a few minutes to pick for y'all and Potager, a wonderful in-season restaurant in Denver. Teri, the owner and head chef has been one of the Farmer's Market's biggest supporters over the last few years and she's a huge proponant of buying in season, local and organic. If you get a chance to stop by her beautfiul restaurant, you definitely should. You can find information about Potager at http://www.potagerrestaurant.com .

After making my delivery to Teri, I'm off to see my good friend (and stylist) Jason Schwind at Vain the Salon and get my hair cut. With my birthday quickly approaching I'm feeling that a change is in order. :)

If I have any time after that, I'll probably head back to the farm to get some work done, but it's so nice to know that I'll have a few hours to do "nothing". Those days get to be very rare as the season goes on.

Okay, I'm off to the farm, no pictures today but we'll see what I can get for the next update.

Oh, and before I forget, the red beets are up! We've listed the greens for the candy striped beets so I can thin them out, and the crunchy royale radishes are ready. I'll get pics of all of those today if I can!

Cheers!
