Established in 1991, Jay Hill actually began in 1983 as North Boulder Farm, and was located on 3/4 of an acre on Juniper St.
Chuck Rozanski and Nanette Furman chose to move their four daughters out of the quickly expanding city in order to pursue their love of organic gardening on a larger scale.
Located on 32 acres, Jay Hill Farm was the site of the original Juhl homested and is located less than half a mile from Juhl Lake.
The farm is located at 5367 Jay Rd., just outside of Boulder and is a convenient drive from Boulder, Gunbarrel, and Niwot.
The family currently farms 3 of the 32 acres, prefering to leave the rest of the property to the many wild birds that frequent the area, including colorado blue jay, blue herons, osprey, and many many sparrows. |
